Exploring Tour

Price: 40 € per person

Number of participants: up to 8

The participants are instructed in Croatian, English or German language of all safety issues and become a Touring Map with a detailed description of route and sixteen points of interest to be explored.

The tour is effected in a compact sit on top single kayaks Mysto and in a double sit on top kayaks Zest Two Exp. Waterproof bags, anchor, life jackets and safety leashes are available free of charge.

It is recommended to bring a suncream, hat or cap and drink water.

Participants can leave unnecessary stuff in a locker.

SOUTHERN EXPLORING TOUR

The tour leads towards the south close to the hotel Kvarner, St Jackob church and the symbol statue of Opatija, Maiden With a Seagull and continues by passing the Slatina beach, marina Admiral and belle epoque villas of Punta Kolova. At the Grotta del diavolo (Devil's Cave) you can have fun entering the cave or doing a cliff jumping.

NORTHERN EXPLORING TOUR

You can start the tour by crossing the bay towards the grand hotel Hilton on the eastern side of the Preluk bay. There you can turn to the left and continue paddling along the Costabella towards the bottom of the Preluk Bay which is known for its intact pine forest and recently built lifestyle hotel Navis. Until the beginning of 20th century on the very same location there was located thirty metars long fisherman ledder for observing tunas coming into the bay. You can continue paddling along the ruins of an old facility, a fairytale villa on the cliffs, the old fisherman port and picturesque village of Volosko, City Hall of Opatija and a pebble beach Lipovica where in the old times small shipyard has been located. Close to the end of the tour you will pass former casino villa Rosalia and the grand hotel Ambasador.

SOUTHERN SNORKELING TOUR

Your first stop might be after some 35 minutes of paddling, between yacht marina Admiral and hotel Ariston where you can ancor your kayaks and snorkel around, or towards the Devil's Cave, a natural corridor with the running water. You can enter the cave or have fun with cliff jumping. In any case you will enjoy the blue crystal water. Seeing the bottom of sea in 15 meters depth will make you feel like flying. Afterwards you can continue to the pebble beach Mali raj (Little Paradise), pull out your kayaks and have a rest before you start your way back.

NORTHERN SNORKELING TOUR

After approximately 45 minutes of paddling you can pull out kayaks on one of several pebble beaches on the eastern side od the bay Preluk. Your snorkeling enjoyment enrolls in a chrystal clear water by observing fishes, shells, sea cucumbers and urchins and starfisches. Sometimes a curious cormorans might join you at your snorkeling adventure. On your way back you paddle along the pinewoods of the bay and hotel Navis, pictureous fishermen village of Volosko, and the northern Opatija coast with a splendid end of the19th century villas and parks.
