SOUTHERN EXPLORING TOUR

The tour leads towards the south close to the Hotel Kvarner, St Jackob church and the symbol statue of Opatija, Maiden With a Seagull and continues by passing the Slatina beach, marina Admiral and belle epoque villas of Punta Kolova district, ending at villa Ariston. More ambitious can explore nearby located Grotta del Diavolo (Devil's Cave).

NORTHERN EXPLORING TOUR

The tour starts with ca 45 minutes peddling towards a pebble beach on northeastern part of the Preluk bay. The bay is known for its intact pine forest and recently built lifestyle hotel Navis. Until the beginning of 20th century on the very same location was located thirty metars long fisherman ledder for observing tunas coming into the bay. At that point the tour turns to the south along the coast towards the old fisherman port and picturesque village of Volosko. You will discover a ruins of an old facility, grand villa on the cliffs, Volosko harbour, City Hall of Opatija, charming villas and parks and a pebble beach Lipovica where in the old times small shipyard has been located. Close to the end of the tour you will pass former casino villa Rosalia and the grand hotel Ambasador.

You might not be in the mood to paddle hard, so don't - you can choose your own reduced route, your speed and your resting points (at the pebble beaches which can be found on the southest and on the northest point of the tour), nobody but you will define them!

Both tours are effected in a compact sit on top single Ocean Kayaks Mysto and large sit on top double Ocean Kayaks Zest Two Exp.

Waterproof bags and lifejackets are available.

It is recommended to bring a sun cream, hat or cap and drinking water.

The participants can leave unnecessary stuff in a locker.

Sunrise Tour

The participants are fully instructed in Croatian, English or German language of safety issues and touring route towards sunrise horizon as well as of challenges on the way to the windsurfers area in the bottom of the Preluk Bay.

First twenty minutes or so the paddling direction is the sunrise spot. Majestic natural spectacle is observed in a mystic dawn of Kvarner Bay. Quarter of hour upon the sunrise the tour turns towards the north to visit spectacular battlefield of wind- and kitesurfers, famous natural resort of morning winds, so much appreciated by this community. You might even see some of the world champions close in action. The last part of the tour leads towards the old fisherman village Volosko and a beautiful coast decorated with belle epoque villas, City Hall and charming waterfront parks.

Be assured you'll be rewarded for your early wake-up with unforgettable summer memories.

The tour is effected on a sit on top single Ocean kayaks Mysto. Safety leashes (mandatory), lifejackets and waterproof bags (optional) are included in price.

It is recommended to bring drinking water. Participants can leave unnecessary stuff in a locker.

Snorkeling Tour

SOUTHERN SNORKELING TOUR

Your first stop can be after some 45 minutes of peddling at the Devil's Cave where you can ancor your kayaks and snorkel around, or even enter the Devil's Cave, a natural corridor with the running water. For the best snorkeling locations, which are located between Lovran and Medveja and Medveja and Mošćenička Draga, you have to paddle for another 30 i.e. 45 minutes. You can ancor your kayaks anywhere by the rocky shores and enjoy snorkeling in the blue crystal water, 5 until 20 meters deep, where you can still see the bottom of the sea what makes you feel like flying high. On the way back you can stop at several pebble beach bars, for instance in Medveja, Ika or Ičići.

NORTHERN SNORKELING TOUR

After approximately 45 minutes of paddling you can pull kayaks on the pebble beach and your snorkeling enjoyment enrolls in a chrystal clear water by observing fishes, shells, sea cucumbers and urchins and starfisches. Sometimes a curious cormorans might join you at your snorkeling adventure. You can continue your paddling for another 30 minutes along the northern coast until you reach the Hilton Costabella Hotel beach bar. On your way back you paddle along the pinewoods of the Preluk Bay and Hotel Navis, pictoresqe fishermen village of Volosko, and the northern Opatija coast with a splendid end of the19th century villas and parks.

Both tours are effected in a compact sit on top single Ocean Kayaks Mysto and in a double sit on top Ocean Kayaks Zest Two Exp suitable for two adult people and a kid. Besides snorkeling gear (mask and fins), a Touring Map and a Riviera Map are provided including waterproof bags, lifejackets and sefety leashes if requested.

It is recommended to bring a suncream, hat or cap and drinking water.

Participants can leave unnecessary stuff in a locker.

Riviera Tour

The participants are fully instructed in Croatian, English or German language of all safety issues and become a Riviera Map and a Touring Map with description of route and the most interesting points along the route.

The tour itinerary goes to the south along the famous Opatija Riviera; central part of Opatija, Ičići (30'), Ika (45' - pebble beach), Lovran (1 h), Medveja (1.5 h - long pebble beach) until Mošćenička Draga (2 h - extra long pebble beach).

For those who want more privacy: on the way to Mošćenička Draga you can find a variety of other opportunities to go for a swimming, small hidden pebble beaches (early birds can find one for themselves only) and a number of rocky beaches with chrystal clear water.

If your choice would be a pebble beach its easy to pull your kayak on the shore. For staying at rocky beach you should anchor close to it.
